Organic Geometry

Solo show at Propeller Art Gallery, Toronto

April 16 - May 4, 2025

Loree Ovens’ exhibition Organic Geometry continues the artist’s exploration of line and pattern, influenced by the effects of light, shadow and altering perspectives. Organic geometry emphasizes the relationship between organic and geometric forms, focusing on dynamic shapes that possess the capacity for growth, change, and adaptation. Most importantly, it is primarily used for forms that can be scaled up or down in proportion using geometric principles. The works in the show could be viewed as maquettes or models for larger pieces, while others could be scaled down into micro studies.

The exhibition consists of works on paper, paintings, wall sculptures and wearable pieces.
